WHO CAN YOU SEE ONLINE?
I can see virtually anyone seeking services in the State of Florida, however, certain cases may require in-person services for the safety of the client. If you are unsure if your situation meets that criteria, give me a call and I can help you figure out if online is right for you.
HOW DO I PAY YOU IF I SEE YOU ONLINE?
Payments are submitted through my payment system that is done all online. No need to do anything special.
DO I NEED TO GET SPECIAL EQUIPMENT?
My services are provided through a HIPAA compliant platform that is accessible with most internet platforms (Google Chrome is usually the best) and works with most smartphones and tablets. For IOS devices (iPhone & iPad), an app will need to be downloaded to ensure that you can log in.
I do ask that you wear headphones for your sessions, especially if you don’t live alone, to ensure confidentiality and sound quality. I always wear headphones on my end and work in a closed office space to ensure your confidentiality.
IS SEEING A THERAPIST DIFFERENT ONLINE?
Yes and no. Yes because there are certain things that can be missed with online therapy sessions. Like I might not be able to see certain body language, especially if you don’t have the camera pointed at you, or there is usually more distractions at home than there would be at my office. But on the other hand, the structure and format is the same. You log in and we get started on your journey.
DO YOU PROVIDE TEXT THERAPY?
I am all for clients finding out what modality works for them and having options. For me, personally and professionally text therapy isn’t always in the best interest of the clients. I prefer to be able to connect with you so that I can better serve you … and it is kind of hard to do that over text.
DO I HAVE TO HAVE SESSIONS ONLINE?
Um… no. LOL. I have two convenient office locations in Coral Springs and East Ft. Lauderdale if you wish to come in person.
IF I CAN’T MAKE A SESSION IN-PERSON, CAN WE DO AN ONLINE SESSION?
Of course! I actually recommend that if you can’t make it, for whatever reason because life happens, that we try to still get you in for an online session. I do require a 48 hour cancellation with scheduled appointments, so if you all of a sudden can’t make it but can do online, we can do online. That is not a problem. Plus it helps you get the services you need without having to pay a late cancellation fee. It is a WIN/WIN.
